Chris Perri on Episode 134 of The Budding Report: DWI and Cannabis

Along with the other co-hosts of The Budding Report, in Episode 134, Chris Perri discusses the complexities of prosecuting someone for DWI while under the influence of cannabis both in Texas and across the nation. In states where cannabis has become legalized, DWI arrests for being under the influence of cannabis have spiked, yet the chemical tests for cannabis can usually only reveal if the substance has been in a person’s body within the last thirty days, making it difficult to pinpoint if someone was high at the time of driving. There is further the question of how high one must be to become legally intoxicated.

Episode 134 also features cannabis business consultants, Shelby Stanley and Brian Holler.

Tune into the episode below to learn more about the timely and important issue of cannabis DWIs as well as the budding dialogue in cannabis toxicology research.
